This month’s English classes focused on the creation of autobiographies and self-portraits. Based on their current level of English, students used their ever-expanding vocabulary to describe themselves and their lives. Above, Sophy reads his autobiography in English while Buncheng translates in Khmer during AP’s monthly Family Night. Coupled with individual presentations, a gallery of self-portraits was displayed for our visitors made up of relatives, teachers, and volunteers. Aziza's Place is a grassroots organization focused on providing a safe and nurturing living environment and educational opportunities for 22 impoverished Cambodian children. AP children come from the Steung Meanchey municipal dump-site, city slums, and other vulnerable situations and lifestyles. Our colorful and vibrant community is located in the heart of the capital city Phnom Penh and opened its doors on February 14, 2007.
